Who is accepting U.S. Passports?

The world is slowly opening up for tourism; commercial flights are starting to run and borders are reopening. Travelers around the globe are eagerly waiting to start planning their new trip. However, at this stage things can seem rather confusing. Countries are imposing their own sets of restrictions and requirements depending on nationality or where you fly in from. Which countries are allowing U.S. visitors and what are the requirements to enter?


Here's an up to date list (as of July 12) of countries allowing U.S. visitors and requirements to enter:

Albania
No special requirements

Antigua Barbuda
Requirements: COVID-19 test required upon arrival

Aruba
Requirements: U.S. citizens required submit an online health declaration together with a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before departure.

Bahamas
Requirements: U.S. citizens required fill in a health declaration online together with a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 10 days before departure.

Barbados
Requirements: U.S. citizens are required to bring a negative COVID-19 taken no more than 72 hours prior to boarding.
Visitors required to complete Embarkation Card online.

Bermuda
Requirements: U.S. citizens are required to bring a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours prior to boarding and take an additional test upon arrival.
Must complete Bermuda travel authorization process online at least 48 hours before arrival.

Croatia
Requirements: U.S. citizens without a negative COVID-19 test must self isolate for 14 days.

Dominican Republic
No special requirements.


French Polynesia
Requirements: U.S. citizens required to bring COVID-19 before boarding and have to take an additional test four days after arrival.

Jamaica
Requirements: U.S. citizens required to fill in an online Travel Authorization Card before flying. COVID-19 test will be taken upon arrival and visitor must stay isolated until test results have returned.

Maldives
Requirements: No special requirements. Visitors will have to fill out health declaration card upon arrival and have their temperatures taken.

Mexico
No special requirements. Land crossing between U.S. and Mexico remains closed.


Puerto Rico
Requirements: Negative COVID-19 test required.

St. Lucia
Requirements: U.S. citizens are required to bring a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 48 hours before departure.


Turks and Caicos
Requirements: U.S. citizens are required to bring a negative COVID-19 test.

United Arab Emirates
Requirements: U.S. citizens are required to register an health declaration form on an app and bring a negative COVID-19 taken no more than 96 hours before boarding. A valid health insurance is mandatory.

US Virgin Islands
No special requirements.
